Snuggle’s Peanuts partnership connects its product to a meaning customers learned long before they bought fabric softener.
I wonder what Charles Schulz would make of “peak Peanuts” in 2026, with his characters turning up on everything from Starbucks merchandise to cake mixes.
When I was little, my older sister had a security blanket she called her “Linus.” That ragged, love-worn thing probably could have used a hit of Snuggle.
Back in the day, the comic strips featuring characters like Charlie Brown, Lucy and Snoopy were hugely embedded in everyday life.
Whenever a seasonal Peanuts special came on, the whole family put down what they were doing and gathered around the TV.
Those characters had a place in our homes long before they appeared on so many products.
Now Snuggle has paired its famous bear with Linus for “Must be the scent of Snuggle,” a U.S. campaign promoting its Blue Sparkle fabric-care range. Both characters bring their familiar blue blankets.
That’s a particularly good match. Linus has spent decades showing us how much a blanket can mean to someone. Snuggle sells products for caring for the things we wear, sleep in and curl up with.
The association comes with a story customers already understand.
Through the lens of I Need That, you could say my Big Sis’s blanket was doing a job way beyond keeping her warm. Its value was deeply personal, accumulated through years of being hers.
Snuggle is connecting laundry care to that kinda attachment. Later this month, a New York pop-up will let visitors cuddle blankets freshly washed in Blue Sparkle, giving the scent a role in what folks experience.
Peanuts might be everywhere again, but this partnership has a reason to grow beyond recognition. My sister could have explained it without a marketing brief. 😀
